Heather Taylor
Musical Director
Heather formed Levow Kesson in 2015. She has a Master's degree in Classical Studies and is an Associate of Trinity College, London, with a Diploma in Piano Performance. Heather runs a music studio from St Neot, near Liskeard, where she teaches piano, singing, flute and violin. She sings second soprano with the prestigious semi-professional choir Canoryon Lowen, based also in St Neot and directed by Nick Hart.
She has accompanied many instrumentalists and vocalists at concerts throughout the county. Heather has also been the organist at St Neot Church and has played in other churches in the area, including Liskeard Methodist Church, St Martin's Church also in Liskeard, St German's Church and Riverside Church in Looe.
Previous appointments have been accompanist for Loveny Male Voice Choir based in St Neot, Cornwall, and also Liskerret Male Voice Choir based in Liskeard, Cornwall. She also has helped with a 'Bring and Sing' choir called Playful Chorus, a choir based in Lostwithiel. Prior to that, she was an accompanist for a female voice choir for nearly three years.
Heather often enters festivals with compositions, both music and poetry, and has received several commendations. She was commissioned to write lyrics that went on to feature in Nick Hart's much-acclaimed work, 'A Story of Cornwall', which received its premiere at Carnglaze Caverns and which has had repeat performances at the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro.
Heather has a love of all things music and a sense of fun, and under her leadership she instils that same feeling into the choir.
